Priority actions to combat marine litter: Europe’s Message from Berlin
More than two hundred European policymakers, scientists and representatives from civil society and industry met in Berlin from 10-12 of April 2013 to debate on ways to combat marine litter in the European regional seas.
NGOs call on EU Member States to set ambitious marine litter targets
Eighteen (18) environmental NGOs from across the EU, among which MIO-ECSDE, are today calling on EU Member States to increase their level of ambition and set firmer marine litter reduction targets with the aim of ending the marine litter problem within a generation.
Call for application for e-learning course on Management of MAB Biosphere Reserves and other designated areas
MIO-ECSDE/MEdIES calls for applications for a 4-week long e-learning course entitled “Management of MAB Biosphere Reserves (BRs) and other designated areas”. The e-course has been built on one of the eight chapters of the UNESCO publication: “Education for Sustainable Development in Biospheres Reserves and other Designated Areas: A Resource Book for Educators in South-Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean” .
