Let’s Sort Initiative in Lebanon

On 11 March 2016, the Makhzoumi Foundation in Lebanon launched an environmental initiative called “Let’s Sort…Let’s Start the First Step Together”, in collaboration with Cedar Environmental, to encourage neighborhoods to start sorting solid (inorganic) waste. In October 2019, new “Yalla Nefroz” trucks transporting waste for recycling to designated factories were assigned to support the initiative and new drop-off points were designated, including three schools, 1 building, 2 pharmacies and 1 NGO located in Beirut (total of 12 bins).
