MIO-ECSDE attended the Annual General Meeting of Accountable Now on 4 May, 2018. Accountable Now is a global platform that supports international civil society organizations to be transparent, responsive to stakeholders and focused on delivering impact. It provides a framework of twelve globally-agreed-upon Accountability Commitments as well as a comprehensive set of standards and an independent review mechanism. MIO-ECSDE intends to support its Member Organisations to benefit as much as possible alongside the Secretariat of the Federation, through capacity building later this year.
In 2018, Accountable Now launched a new reporting and assessment framework. The new reporting system was discussed at the AGM along with the challenges faced and the lessons learned in the implementation of the Accountability Commitments. MIO-ECSDE will be submitting its first accountability report this year.
