On the occasion of the World Environment Day 2017, MIO-ECSDE and MEdIES, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair and Network on Sustainable Development Management and Education in the Mediterranean of the University of Athens, the Social Cooperative Enterprise EKFRASI, and with the support of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme, invites you to the screening of the recently awarded movie “Days of the Lake” (by Pandora Mouriki and Hara Fragkou, Greece 2017, 50 min, original version with English subtitles) followed by a discussion session with invited guests.
We humans are used to saying: We and Nature. But aren’t we one with Nature rather than beside it or across from it? This documentary film, which unfolds around Lake Kerkini, approaches the shared journey of the lake’s ecosystem and nearby villagers.
