The European Commission’s consultation on a Roadmap for a resource-efficient Europe

In the period of 22.02.2011  to 22.04.2011, the European Commission launched a public consultation on a Roadmap for a resource-efficient Europe, as part of the resource-efficient Europe Flagship Initiative of the Europe 2020 Strategy.

The purpose of this consultation is to collect the views of businesses, other stakeholders and the public at large on policy options for the Roadmap, on the current situation (existing opportunities and main barriers to more efficient use of natural resources) and on the potential effectiveness of public policy tools in achieving a Resource Efficient Europe.

MIO-ECSDE welcomed the participatory approach followed by the European Commission and submitted its main views, concerns, and considerations through the online questionnaire.
