More than 250 young activists came together from 29 to 30 July in the Tunisian city of Kelibia in order to promote sustainable consumption in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The two-day event, took place in the general framework of UNESCO/UNEP’s initiative “Youth X Change” and targeted a mixed audience of youth, trainers, teachers, as well as media and local authorities.
The participants were introduced to the YXC kit that supplies youth with simple tips in an appealing way on sustainable consumption behaviors and responsible consumer choices. The kit was recently adapted to the realities of the Mediterranean Arab countries and was published in Arabic.
The Tunisian events were part of a series of events in Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Syria within the initiative undertaken by MIO-ECSDE and 6 partners from the Mediterranean, with the support of the ALF and the EU.
