As a partner in the EU-funded FOLOU project, MIO-ECSDE is pleased to share the launch of FOLOU’s new free online course, now available through the Ubiqua learning platform.
Food loss is an important challenge for sustainable food systems, particularly at the primary production stage. Effective policies and decision-making require reliable evidence and an understanding of the factors contributing to food loss. This new course explores how food loss evidence can inform policies and strategies aimed at reducing losses and supporting more sustainable primary production.

As the FOLOU project approaches its completion, one final free online course, “Food Loss Sustainability Implications”, will be coming soon. The course will explore how to appraise the environmental, social and economic effects of food loss using the FOLOU Sustainability Tool. Stay tuned!
