Costeas-Geitonas School in collaboration with HCMR and MIO-ECSDE is proud to offer “Calypso”, a summer research expedition for high school students in Athens and the stunning Greek islands of Mykonos, Delos and Santorini.
The Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats adopted two Recommendations urging Turkey to prevent habitat destruction and ensure improved management of Fethiye and Patara Specially Protected Areas (SPAs). Indicative of the strong reaction to current pressures on the habitats is the call for a construction ban on the sea turtle nesting beaches of the SPAs.
After the great success of the past edition, the Day of the Tree returns in 2015! On the occasion of the Paris Climate Change Conference (COP21) to be held from 30 November to 11 December 2015, MIO-ECSDE Member, Legabiente dedicates its initiative to climate change, using the tree as a messenger to promote change towards sustainable development.
