YouthCARE4Planet tackles significant transnational challenges in the Mediterranean region, related to climate change adaptation, risk prevention, and disaster resilience. These issues are exacerbated by the region’s vulnerability to climate impacts, increasing frequency of natural disasters. By focusing on youth engagement and eco-systemic care for people and the planet, the project aims to support a new environmentally conscious generation in planning, acting, advocating and accessing decision making to drive sustainable change. By fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and providing tangible support to youth initiatives, the project will create a robust network of young environmental pioneers equipped to address the complex challenges of climate change and to voice out new and creative proposals, actions towards a more sustainable and resilient Mediterranean.

MIO-ECSDE will bring into the project its experience working in the Euro-Mediterranean region on advocacy, awareness raising, skills’ building and Education for Sustainable Development, as well as leveraging networking and capitalization.
