Policy Toolkit On Municipal Waste Management: A Guide for Decision-Makers in the Mediterranean

This document is a culmination of the operational expertise garnered from the ENI CBC MED funded project, Med4Waste, which focused on building skills, planning, and decision-making capacities for Mediterranean municipalities and waste management practitioners. The Toolkit aims to transmit to key Mediterranean actors a set of concise recommendations and policy guidelines to promote better governance in the sustainable use of resources and management of waste and facilitate the implementation of the necessary steps to achieve a circular economy in the Mediterranean. Authorities of all governance levels can benefit from the implementation of these recommendations and by doing so contribute to waste prevention and sustainable resource management, the promotion of reliable and accessible information for decision making and in fostering collaboration and innovation for more green, circular and just communities.
