MIO-ECSDE ranked fourth place in the final election round for the Fifth Edition of the Euro-Med Award for the Dialogue between Cultures and will be awarded an Honourable Mention for its highly-esteemed work on intercultural dialogue and ecological sustainability.
This award was launched for the first time in 2006 by the Anna Lindh Foundation and its partner Fondazione Mediterraneo and in previous years recognized the achievements of individuals and organizations across fields including interreligious dialogue, art and mutual understanding, and the promotion of a culture of peace.
Taking place this year on the theme of ‘Intercultural Dialogue for Ecological Sustainability, the Dialogue Award is unique in the fact that it is bestowed and voted upon by members of the Anna Lindh Foundation’s region-wide Network of 3000 civil society organizations working across the 43 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean.
The Anna Lindh Foundation and Fondazione Mediterraneo, on behalf of all the National Networks have sent their congratulations and deep appreciation for the work of MIO-ECSDE in promoting environmental sustainability in the Euro-Med Region.

The first place of the Euro-Med Award went to MIO-ECSDE’s member NGO “Friends of the Earth Middle East”.
