Eko Kvarner, a MIO-ECSDE member, along with the University of Rijfka, Faculty of Economics and Business held the 7th Conference on Sustainable Development of Mediterranean Small Islands on May 28, 2020.
The online event focused on the EU’s Green Deal; how it can improve the current situation in the Mediterranean, especially on islands, and how it was received in the Balkans, especially in the context of crisis. Among other participants, Prof. Michael Scoullos, Chairman of MIO-ECSDE, made a presentation on the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus approach for Security in the Mediterranean.
